Turkey is a popular tourist destination where there are 4 seas, mountains, a lot of sights, interesting architecture, carpets, very good food and a wide choice of spices. European tourists usually only visit Istanbul, Cappadocia and the beaches in Antalya but Turkey has a lot more to offer, such as Roman ruins, old castles built on the edges of the mountains and the less known Kurdish lands in the southeast of the country.
