My name is Martin and this is my story. I travel because it is fun and a great way to continue self-education which enriches the worldview and opens my eyes to unnoticeable things, both in the distant countries and the closest ones. Let's get to know other cultures but let's also respect and defend our own.

A few words from the author

Whilst travelling from the Christian remains of Constantinople and the ancient sands of Persia, through the Himalayas, the Great Wall of China and the dense jungles of Borneo, I realized that the world must have its order. Therefore despite my beautiful adventures and experiences I always remembered which culture I myself belonged to, and I also appreciated the beauty and values of our beautiful - White Christian civilization.

Trip to Vietnam

By: Martin Malik
I entered Vietnam from Cambodia and I have to say that I had mixed feelings. The Cambodian border was decorated with Angkor Wat figures and the Vietnamese was monumental, with a red flag and a yellow star in the middle; " I took it as comrade Lenin meets chairman Mao".

Expedition to Malaysia

By: Martin Malik
I also went to Taman Negara National Park, where I took part in a two-day trip to the jungle. I slept in a cave, I was fighting blood thirsty leeches, I fell into a mud and spied on the beautiful nature. Another beautiful experience was Pulau Tioman island ...

Expedition to West Asia 2013

By: Martin Malik
Ancient Persia is one of the oldest civilization of the world, and it has a lot of historical and cultural heritage, rich art and good people. Regarding terrorism and the "axis of evil" it simply makes me laugh when I hear about it, Globalists have military bases in the Middle East, the terrorists state of Israel, and thousands of nuclear bombs - and Iran has none. This proves the best who is the threat to whom. In the picture, the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei.

Trip to Azerbaijan

By: Martin Malik
In Xinaliq I hiked the mountains, I used people`s hospitality and good humour and I watched the traditional shepherd life next to the border with Russia (Dagestan). By the way, at the border the officials asked my three times if I've been to Armenia, without understanding that their war is theirs and not mine.

Trip to Georgia

By: Martin Malik
Traveling around Georgia is a mountain adventure in search of old fortified churches, sometimes also located by blue lakes. Besides, Georgians make good bread and cheeses, and sweet pomegranates are the pride of Georgia. Georgia is a very pleasant tourist destination. There are also cave cities, the pretty capital of Georgia, Tbilisi; and above all picturesque mountain landscapes with its beautiful churches.

Trip to Armenia

By: Martin Malik
Armenia is a country of beautiful landscapes where Christian culture with its ancient churches has raised friendly and hospitable people. I had grapes and nuts straight off a tree and I crossed most of Armenia by hitchhiking.

Expedition to Iran

By: Martin Malik
It is very important to not to judge Iran and its people through the picture of Western or Israeli media, because it would be an opinion build on lies. Regardless of what our media say Iran is safe for tourists and Iranian people are always friendly. Good luck proud Persians.

Trip to Nagorno Karabakh

At the end of my Caucasian trip I went to a country which theoretically does not even exist. Nagorno Karabakh is an area controlled by Armenia, although Azerbaijan formally includes it into its territory.

Expedition to West Asia 2015

By: Martin Malik
In 2015 I'm going to Lebanon, Jordan, Israel and Palestine. The entire region is very unstable, and that's why I'm going there this year. Next year it might be too late. American "democracy", Jewish terrorism and hot temper of Muslims are the 3 things that can ruin a trip of a peace loving adventurer like me.

Expedition to Israel and Palestine

By: Martin Malik
The Berlin Wall was seen as an attack on freedom and democracy, and the fence surrounding concentration camps as a crime against humanity, but on the other hand the wall in Palestine, although much longer and higher than the one in Berlin is kept in silence ..... as if it didn't exist. This means that brutal occupation and walls of that type are perfectly fine, but only on a condition that they serve Jews.

Trip to Lebanon

By: Martin Malik
Lebanon is a very interesting country which I have a lot of beautiful memories from, but its military nature forces us to adapt to new conditions. Although in the first few days you may be wondering when the war might start, and despite the horror stories told us by the British Foreign Office, I will always remember Lebanon as a very interesting adventure.

Trip to Jordan

By: Martin Malik
I like the the Bedouins' traditional way of life and attachment to their land and culture. I've noticed that Bedouins prefer to live in the desert, in tents, they like to drink tea prepared on their own campfires, they like their animals and all rocks, canyons and sands that surround them. Also, firstly they are Bedouins and then Jordanians and Arabs. With such an approach their race and their culture will definitely survive.

Expedition to West Asia 2017

By: Martin Malik
My exploration of Western Asia will focus on Kurdistan, a country that officially does not exist. It has been estimated that the worldwide Kurdish population stands at about 30mln and it is the largest nation in the world without its own state. The Kurdish lands are divided in Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria, while I intend to travel around the unofficial Kurdistan in Turkey and Iraq.

Expedition to Turkey

By: Martin Malik
I've been traveling around Turkey for a couple of weeks and although I spent 3 days in Istanbul I'm not planning my trip in the Turkish Turkey but in the land of the Kurds, in the south-east of the country. I think that the most valuable time in Turkish Kurdistan I spent in the Nemrut National Park where there is the second largest crater lake in the world at the altitude of 2247 above the sea level.

Expedition to southeast Asia 2018

By: Martin Malik
In 2018 I am going again to the selected countries of south-east Asia. The last time I travelled around that beautiful region of Asia was 6 years ago, in 2012, but that beautiful part of the world has so much to offer, it is so rich in culture and has such a great natural beauty, that I am always happy to go back there. This time I'm going to travel in the Philippines, Sabah state in the Malaysian Borneo and I'll visit Brunei again.

Adventure trip to the Philippines

By: Martin Malik
Whilst strolling among banana trees and coconut palms, I reached white beaches with palm trees leaning to the sea, and then water caves, which gave me the biggest pleasure. Among the many trips we also took a motorbike tour to the complex of waterfalls hidden in the jungle, on the way stopping for a barbecue between rice fields.

Visa trip to Brunei

By: Martin Malik
Brunei has an attractive small capital Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB), the largest village on water Kampong Ayer, and it also has a river and mangrove forests, with residents such as proboscis monkeys and crocodiles. Brunei also has a tropical forest in the Temburong exclave, nice beaches, good Malay and Indian food, good shopping and interesting museums.

Trip to the Malaysian Borneo

By: Martin Malik
Malaysian Borneo is a picturesque part of Asia, which I recommend to travellers who like close contact with nature. In the states of Sarawak and Sabah there are primary rain forests, huge caves, and the rich cultural life of Borneo. In national parks and reserves we can see orangutans, proboscis monkeys, hornbills and rivers full of crocodiles. In Borneo travellers can also climb the mountains, dive with sea turtles and rest on beautiful beaches.

Trip to Iraq (Kurdistan)

By: Martin Malik
The place that stay forever in my mind is the Saddam Hussein’s detention centre – Amna Suraka. There were still bullet holes in the walls, bomb shells, Saddam’s old tanks standing outside, and indoors there were expositions and pictures of the history of the Kurdish genocide. The were also photos about fighting against ISIS. Some photos were tragic and unpleasant, the same as the documentary produced by the BBC.
