My name is Martin and this is my story. I travel because it is fun and a great way to continue self-education which enriches the worldview and opens my eyes to unnoticeable things, both in the distant countries and the closest ones. Let's get to know other cultures but let's also respect and defend our own.

A few words from the author

Whilst travelling from the Christian remains of Constantinople and the ancient sands of Persia, through the Himalayas, the Great Wall of China and the dense jungles of Borneo, I realized that the world must have its order. Therefore despite my beautiful adventures and experiences I always remembered which culture I myself belonged to, and I also appreciated the beauty and values of our beautiful - White Christian civilization.

Travel advice

Travel advice contains all the information you need before you travel and during the trips. If you want to know how to pack before the trip, what to take and what to not take, I recommend this chapter. Travel advice will also help you remember about the need for visas and passport validity. It will help you  to choose a camera and check travel vaccines. All this information seems obvious, but on the other hand they are so obvious that travelers often ignore them.

Time zones

By: Martin Malik
India is in the middle of two meridians and that's why time there has been put forward by 30 minutes. For this reason India operates not on GMT +5h or 6h but GMT+5h.30min. India argues that such move was necessary to make a better use of time because in such a big country it wouldn't be economically sensible to keep western Amritsar and eastern Calcutta on one time.

Climatic zones

By: Martin Malik
Temperature rises the closer we are to the equator and decreases the further we are from it. Sun rays strike the equator at an angle of 23 degrees north and 23 degrees south latitude. Sunlight is then spread on a very large area and the poles are always the coldest because sun rays have the longest way to travel from the equator.

The educational stray of a traveller

'A traveller needs time to comprehend the country, to get lost in its chaos and to find the right path by himself, because only that way he can get realistic experiences. Traveller is the one who discovers the world in his own way and through such journeys he becomes mentally richer, while tourists look where they are forced to look and they are rushed like cattle.'
